2009 Flight Manual For Official NASA Flying Saucer Project: Lightcraft PT II
In part 2 we'll cover the 300 page flight manual published in 2009 for an Air Force, NASA and National Labs joint flying saucer project. It mentions, abductions, implants, & "unidentified spacecraft."

In part 1 of this Lightcraft series we covered the trail of scientific research that start with scientists on the Manhattan Project who also happened to be investigating UFOs, and the direct connections to a 1980s project hidden within the larger SDI program to created advanced spacecraft inspired from UFO sightings.
The Lightcraft was suppose to be able to travel anywhere in the world in 2 hours with no fuel. There were bold claims about putting the airline industry out of business and revolutionizing public transportation. Millions, if not billions went into this project. Hundreds of presentations at academic conferences, documentaries, interviews, peer reviewed research papers then all the research went quiet.
It didn't end. The project was never terminated. If you look, collaborators still conduct research for their area of contribution to the Lightcraft project. The contracts from the Air Force just became less transparent.
Clear, unambiguous timelines were given about how close they were to making this technology operational. In the late 90s-2000s Myrabo projected working models of the first generation Lightcraft within a 5 year window. Even if you adjust for extraordinary delays, there's been no comprehensive update of the current status of the entire Lightcraft project since Myrabo's book in 2009 and a 2010 report published by Eric Davis as one of the 38 AAWSAP DIRDs for the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Myrabo's website went offline after he left Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was professor during the 20 years of public facing research he did with the government until he left to pursue his Lightcraft company full-time. I can't find any public mention of any work by Leik Myrabo's Lightcraft Technologies Inc despite it being founded 26 years ago. This fact is even more notable since Myrabo left the university where our government paid for his high power laser research lab, and was literally given the option to recruit any expert in their field for his project.
According to a projected timeline from Myrabo book published in 2009, they should have been in the development phase by 2010. The chart says they should be doing larger scale tests with the Microwave flying disk model by 2010. The book also mentions around the time the flight manual was published the project "went black," suggesting it became a classified program in the black budget.
The allegation from whistleblower Grusch is technology funding by tax dollars is being suppressed to protect oligarch profits.
"It's totally nuts that humanity as a whole especially the US citizenry as a whole, they're not even benefiting from broad research on this to solve propulsion and energy issues ... that can improve people's quality of life. Its just totally nuts how its been protected and inhibits progress."
I cant say for sure we're talking about the same technology. But it is a fact that a key witness for David Grusch was Eric Davis; a scientist, who among many things, was involved in the research for the lightcraft. As Eric Davis is giving public and classified briefings to members of Oversight Committee, it appears he's on the shortlist of witnesses who'll eventually appear in hearings. That being the case were going to need some clarification
Was the Lightcraft Reverse Engineered?
Ironically one of the main tired excuses as to why the DoD can't release their high resolution video is because an adversary might analyze the image to exploit capabilities of the platform that took the image. It could be a satellite, a gun camera on a fighter jet. Implied in this alleged security conscious mindset is if someone merely has a glimpse at our classified tech they'll be able to make it themselves or develop counter measures. They don't want our capabilities reverse engineered.
Now let's imagine the inverse. We have images, video and radar returns of unknown technology. Say we take all that data, give it to our best scientists and tell them to make it. Well this isn't a hypothetical. It's a documented fact the key members of the Lightcraft team have a documented history researching UFOs.
So what do you call it when that same group of scientists apply what they've learned studying UFOs into a project to build a flying saucer for the Air Force and NASA? I've been beyond careful to not recklessly accuse just anyone who may have some tangential links of being part of the Legacy UFO program. But at this point, with this story, it's like ignoring the giant pink elephant in the room.
Really, my main reason for holding out has been I just don't have evidence of these people in a room with a non human craft. But with all the context and supporting evidence that I’ve gathered, that fact has become almost irrelevant. For the example I provided earlier and any technical definition you can find, it's entirely possible to reverse engineer technology from images and data. They've all applied data from UFO sightings in their research, and they just happened to be building a flying saucer.
Eric Davis, one of the scientists who worked on the project was a key witness to David Grusch. Davis has also informed multiple congressional committees and inspectors general about crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs.
Scientists working on the Lightcraft were planning on using this tech to virtually eliminate the fossil fuel industry and revolutionize travel. The obstacles they listed to this doable change: elites motivated by self interest and maintaining the status quo. All of which David Grusch has communicated as some of the reasons for the maintained secrecy.
Even though in polite society being an obtuse unmovable skeptic is portrayed as the virtuous position take on UFOs, sometimes that position flies in the face of Occam Razor. Some times you have no choice but to believe your lying eyes and ears. A phrase I keep finding myself adding to articles: if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it's probably UFO reverse engineering program
In part 2 we'll cover A 300 page technical manual written by Myrabo, titled “Lightcraft Flight Handbook LTI-20: Hypersonic Flight Transport for an Era Beyond Oil” published in 2009 on the LTI20 Flying Saucer model of the Lightcraft. I'll cover some interesting operational features. We know that the Air Force and NASA were officially backing this flying saucer project for Interplanetary missions to Mars and elsewhere; so why does this manual written by the lead scientist mention "Recovery of Unidentified Spacecraft?”
The team working on this project were quite literally top performers in their field. At least four of them have a history of investigating UFO incidents, including alleged abductions, and applying what they've learned to their research into gravity manipulation and faster than light travel. In addition to official reports and written books illustrating this, I've located a considerable amount of UFO documentaries from the 1980's & 90's with these scientists providing their expert analysis of quality UFO videos while making some damning admission.
Lightcraft Manual

The book was published in 2009. It's described as a comprehensive technical summary of the research that led to this final version of the Lightcraft. It's written as a manual for those who will eventually be part of the manned lightcraft missions. I'm still not 100% certain where the demarcation line is, but i believe everything up to 2008-09 is 100% factual as it lines up with all the official reports from the AFRL and NASA on the progress of lightcraft research. Everything after seems like projected timeline of events ultimately leading to the unveiling and declassification of the first lightcraft mission.
Among the first pages is a cover page marked TOP SECRET. This page looks nearly identical to official DoD reports. It has a destruction order and names the contributors. There's even a Declassification stamp ironically dated for 10/17/2025. But this is where the page gets confusing because the declassification authority on the stamp is the Secretary of US Space Command although the office wouldn't be created until 10 years after the book was published. Throughout the page it references USSC as the classifying authority, and that any request for copies of the Manual should be sent to USSC.
The next page describes this fictional December 2025 unveiling where the Lightcraft is displayed publicly after the manual had been declassified in October 2025. It makes reference to chapters of the manual that remained classified even after the rest of the manual is declassified. The chapters referenced are chapter 7 which describes the sensors used on the craft, and also chapter 21 titled "Planetary Defense." I'll explain more about 21 later in the article.
The manual states "the Microwave Lightcraft Project was unofficially launched as 'black' program in mid-2008 with little fanfare." That's the demarcation line I mentioned before. For decades there had been unclassified research published into the laser propulsion technology for the Lightcraft. At one point in my deep dive, I wondered why none of this was classified. I eventually realized that everything I was reading, the videos I had seen were all before 2008. Myrabo was all over doing lectures, conferences, TV special but then it all stopped. The research continued, but it was dramatically quieter until some of the last academic mentions of Myrabo in 2013⁹⁹.
I had suspected the project reached a point where the government didn't want to share anymore publicly and moved it into classified research. The line in the manual about the Lightcraft being approved as a black budget program confirmed that for me.
Chapter 21: Planetary Defense
Further evidence this moved into classified research was the references to redacted chapters in the book. It wasn't just that line in the fictional Lightcraft unveiling. The index of the manual has the chapters that needed to be removed because they were classified.
There's even a breakdown of all the subheadings covered in the chapter. In total there are 7 sections in the chapter.
21.1 Monitoring Cislunar Space
21.2 Orbital Debris Mapping and Removal
21.3 Ballistic and Cruise Missile Defense
21.4 NEO Asteroid Imaging
21.5 BEP Launch of Deep Space Probes
21.6 NEO Trajectory Modification Tests
21.7 Intercept, Escort, and Retrieval of Unidentified Spacecraft
Obviously a section that mentions Unidentified Spacecraft stands out. Having words on a page without context is meaningless. Clearly I don't have the section marked classified and removed from this book. I wanted to explore every possibility for an alternative explanation for why this was even in the book. Best I could come up with it was some kind of joke or marketing trick to give the appearance this had something to do with a top secret alien program but the juicy details got redacted. At face value I struggled taking this theory seriously.
I was already familiar with the decades of research that went into the Lightcraft since the SDI program under Reagan. I've seen the level of scientists involved and the idea that would make a joke of this project lacks credibility. I can only barely entertain this theory because the way the book is written, it takes the projected timeline for the Lightcraft development and portrays them as events that have already happened to maintain the theme that this is the manual to be used in manned Lightcraft missions. Everything that occurs after 2008 when the book was written is fantasy because it hadn't happened yet.
The theory that this classified chapter was some kind of entertainment prop falls apart upon further testing. I thought the best approach was to look in the book for information that might authenticate the other sections in the chapter. If the 6 other sections in this removed chapter are based on real information there's no reason to assume section 7 wouldn't be also.
In the authors forward at the beginning of the book it describes how Myrabo shifted focus from the diamond/acorn shaped laser Lightcraft to the Microwave powered flying saucer model. Lee Valentine, from the Space Studies Institute (where John S Lewis, Myrabos Co author also works) approached Myrabo in 1991 to suggest it would be more practical to use Microwaves instead of high power lasers and challenged Myrabo to do it. "To make it tempting, SSI offered to team Leik with any scientists in the world, in a 6 month SSI supported effort to solve a critical problem with the Microwave Lightcraft."
And he followed through on that promise. This connected Myrabo to scientists in Japan and Brazil among other countries. There's am extensive list of the scientists involved included in the book. Among them are many of his students in graduate level courses who assisted in research.
What kind of person is Valentine to be to be able to approach a Myrabo with an offer like that? Myrabo already had a government funded lab, already in collaboration with NASA, the Director of the Advanced Propulsion directorate for the USAF is on his project and it's part of the SDI which was the biggest defense program in the world. For Valentine to offer that guy any scientist in the world, the term well connected would be an understatement.
Although the Lee Valentine international man of mystery rabit hole was enticing, I found information relevant to Chapter 21 pretty quickly. There's actually huge overlap between Valentine and the books co-author John Lewis.
Lewis CV is listed on the University of Arizona website, where he was a professor. From 1982-2007 Lewis was co director of a NASA/University of Arizona Space Engineer Center. He also served on several boards and panels for NASA and the National Academy of Sciences. Most of Lewis work experiences have end dates for roles he left. All of his experience have start dates. The only exception was his time as a "Consultant to the Directorate of Intelligence, CIA on Soviet space activities."
What do international man of mystery Lee Valentine, and this renowned Planetary scientist who was under the employ of the CIA for an undefined amount of time have to do with the classified Chapter 21 in the Lightcraft manual? The book explicitly states in the Preface "The LTI-20B, which was designed to carry a crew of 12 in it's primary role of planetary defense against extraterrestrial threats..." Both Lewis and Valentine have a documented history of working on Planetary Defense projects.
Lewis and Valentine have presented at more than one Planetary Defense Conference. Lewis wrote 2 books in the 90s about the threat posed by asteroid impact. But there's a paper published by both scientists that mentions the different topics that were in the removed Chapter 21 of the Lightcraft manual.
The report is titled "Mass Drivers For Planetary Defense." It's a concept that connects with another area of research of Lewis, asteroid mining. The idea is to use the same systems for asteroid mining and Planetary Defense. There's a section in the report titled "Reconnaissance" which details the process of collecting information on an asteroid. It's starts "The first missions are robotic precursor missions to map the gravity field of the asteroid and assess the thickness of regolith and the asteroid’s internal structure."
The report continues "These include microsatellites with a chemical micro-propulsion system and a few hundred meters per second delta V to select a landing site." The "robotic precursor missions" with "microsatallites" are probes collecting informationon on the Asteroid. The report even refers to them as probes later on. Let's look back at the Chapter 21 section. Section 4 is about NEO Astroid imaging.
Hard to not interpret sending probes and teams to record data on the Asteroid to map future missions can be considered Asteroid Imaging. Speaking of probes, there's another section about using Beamed Energy Propulsion to launch deep space probes. The entire Lightcraft system operates on beamed energy propulsion. Multiple members of the Lightcraft team have done numerous presentations a international BEP conferences. SSI partners currently do work on build beamed energy systems in space. Interplanetary travel was always the goal for the Lightcraft. Seems like a logical progression to use BEP to send probes to deep space before a manned mission. Considering all this, section 21.5 seems like it's based on real information.
21.6 is titled NEO (Near Earth Object) Deflection Tests. In that report from Lewis and Valentine they mention asteroid deflection. In the concluding it states "This study was carried out to determine whether or not a mission to deflect a NEO using mass drivers and existing launch vehicles is plausible."
21.3 is on Ballistic and Cruise Missile Defense. This is the most straight forward. The lightcraft took off under the SDI program. The official stated purpose of SDI was missile defense. Scientists on the Lightcraft like David Froning were directly involved in building missiles and missile defense system. I'd be more surprised if there was no classified part of the Lightcraft project related to missile defense.
21.2 Orbital Debris Mapping and Removal is interesting. Among the authors listed in this Mass Driver study is a Dennis Wingo of Orbital Recover Corp. The corporation specializes in orbital debris removal and he's in a Planetary Defense report from Lee Valentine and John Lewis. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Orbital Recovery Corp might have been part of the section on Orbital Debris Mapping and Removal.
It gets even more weird. The focus on the Chapter 21 for me is about the section having to do with the recovery on Unidentified Spacecraft. If that is part of the Lightcraft missions in space I can't think of anyone better for the job than Dennis Wingo. Apparently Wingo was the first person in history to "rescue and operate a Spacecraft in Interplanetary space." Clearly the people with the skill set or resources to recover spacecraft off planet are extremely limited. This is true of the billions of people on the planet, but even in the tech space industry. What are the chances someone like Wingo just happened to already be working on Planetary Defense projects with Valentine and Lewis, and it's completely unrelated to the removed chapter on Planetary Defense Missions for the lightcraft.
Back to where we started. The closest thing to a plausible alternative for why that chapter is listed but the content removed was as a joke. Clearly not a viable option. Valentine and Lewis were instrumental in the development of the flying saucer model and the creation of the manual. One of focus of their life's work is Planetary Defense. To think they'd include it as a joke chapter in the book is ridiculous.
Furthermore all the other sections in Chapter 21 can be accounted for as being based not only real information, but projects Lewis and Valentine directly worked on. Which leaves the section on the recovery unknown spacecraft. I have have no alternative for why this is in the book. It appears like all the other potential uses of the lightcraft in the book, this project was at some point destined to recover unidentified spacecraft.
Either way someone should explain in a technical manual of a flying disk being developed by USAF and NASA it explicitly states the purpose of creating the craft is to "defense against Extraterrestrial threats."
The Lightcraft & Abductions
Speaking of things I'd like explained, there are a few mentions of abduction. I've never written about abductions but they do inevitably come up researching this topic. In the manual there are several mentions of abductions. The first is in a section that details typical Lightcraft missions "5) automobile abductions." It goes into detail about the lightcraft being able to create an electromagnetic field capable of lifting a truck.
Implants
Related to the concept of abductions, the crew on the Lightcraft for missions have the option to use a communicator implanted under the skin for secure communications on classified mission. The communicators operate on pretty straight forward technology. The user activates it with a vocal prompts, the user says the name of the person you want to talk to and it the two can begin to communicate. The obvious connection to abductions stories is the idea of implants associated with flying saucers. Also in practice, the output of sound is basically someone else's voice playing in your head, similar to all the account of close encounters having some kind of telepathic communication
.
Maglev Ship Boarding System
Adding to the clear abduction theme, an important feature of the Lightcraft is its magnetic levitation components. Maglev is the idea of using the power of magnets to move things. Maglev is used in high speed trains. In UFO lore there's a theory that all the deep underground military bases that have been proven to exists, are possibly connected through a network of high-speed maglev trains. I have no strong opinions on this, but I’ll add the fact that Myrabo also proposed creating a maglev highway system as part of his plan to revolutionize transportation that included the Lightcraft.
In relation to the Lightcraft there were several uses for maglev technology. Most notably, the Maglev Ship Boarding System. The way it works is there are 9 magnetic superconductors at the bottom of the craft. The interact with magnets in the crews uniform and can lift them up into the craft. No stairs. No platform..

Lightcraft Team Studied Historic Abduction Cases
It's hard to make anything of a single abductions story involving a genuine non human UFO, though there are some compelling cases. Abduction stories are most valuable when small details repeat and create a pattern. This was a finding of the Chair of the Harvard Psychiatry Department John Mack, who interviewed dozens of people with abduction experiences. He determined that these were people who were sane and not under any psychosis or delusion. They recalled small similar details about things like unusual devices used in medical expirements that they couldn't have heard from anyone else. Some had marks on their body that they couldn't have done on their own. Some experienced real PTSD symptoms as if they were traumatized by the event. I say this to clarify there are abduction stories that well predate the development of the lightcraft and I have no definitive opinion on what is going on with abduction experiences.
Additional context, for decades there have been stories of something called MiLabs, or "military abductions." Again, as a lay person of abductions, the core of these allegations are that the military is involved in abductions with advanced craft and technology. Some say that officers have been seen on craft overseeing experiments on abducted. Some say other beings are present at the same time. Some thinks it's a covert program to track people who've actually been abducted by other beings. Like I said, that waters are little to murky for me to wade in.
UFOs & Channeling
I will say that at least one scientist on the Lightcraft team has well documented interest in abductions and close encounter. David Froning a retired McDonnel Douglas engineer had appeared in several UFO documentaries in the 80's. One of them, UFOs and Channeling, investigated the phenomenon of people who were abducted or had close encounters with UFOs and beings.
The subjects of the documentary claimed they formed some sort of telepathic link with the beings piloting the UFOs which they can use to communicate. I'm very aware how wild this all sounds. But I can not ignore the fact that David Froning was featured in the documentary saying
"I know one or two scientists and engineers who use channeling to get technical information to help them in their projects."
Regardless what you believe about abductions, this book is a tacit admission that at the very least flying saucer make a great tool for abductions. It seem like a irreconcilable position for the government to take that 'no one actually being abducted by UFOs, but hey let's see if we can make a flying saucer since it's a [tried and tested] great tool to abduct people.'
To Build a Flying Saucer, One Must First Study Flying Saucers
1997 Mexico City UFO
For years there's been a video online that allegedly captured an August 6th 1997 UFO incident where a flying saucer was seen flying behind high rise buildings in Mexico City, Mexico. It looks compelling, but as always there’s a raging debate about whether its fake or not. I've been very clear that since I do not have the expertise necessary to do video analysis of UFO sightings, so I avoid focusing my work an footage I can't authenticate. The exception is if there's strong supporting evidence.
What I didn't know until doing research for this article was the same year of the incident, journalists did an investigation that was included in a documentary style TV show segment. Image analysis experts in Mexico and visual effects experts from the team that worked on the film Titanic performed tests to determine if the video was altered, they decided it wasn't. They also couldn't propose a credible earthly explanation for what was seen on video.
Allegedly 12 people were interviewed confirming the sightings from different parts of the cities. I've seen 4 of these people interviewed on camera.
One of the witnesses claims she was standing right under the craft. She even reported that she has had lasting health effects. She reports stinging sensation in her eyes, constant headaches and the day of the incident she says she noticed tan lines on her body outlining the shirt she was wearing. All symptoms are consistent with radiation exposure. That’s not my analysis. An official report sponsored by the Defense Intelligence Agency was compiled by Board Certified Physicians to study the health symptoms that are some times associated with close encounters with UFOs came to that conclusion about similar cases. They took a sample of credible UFO sightings and all available data about the experiencers reported physical and psychological symptoms. For example they analyzed the well known Cash Landrum case. Witnesses went to hospital with severe burns, hair loss, burning eyes etc. Ironically the Cash Landrum UFO looks like a massive version of the original laser propelled Lightcraft. I'll post an image for comparison.
You might be wondering why I interrupted your regularly scheduled program about the Lightcraft to talk about a nearly 30 year old UFO sighting in Mexico? One of the key scientists on the Lightcraft project makes an appearance along with several experts concluding that recorded on video was a real flying disc made by a non human intelligence.
I've listed David Fronings connection to the lightcraft project in part 1. His analysis of this sighting was less than a minute long but it's filled with a series of damning admissions. Consider Fronings employment history, how much he's applied UFO research into his life's work of Interplanetary and faster than light travel, along with all the other supporting evidence in this case when taking Fronings words.
Field Propulsion
"I think it's an intelligently controlled craft. It looks like it's being propelled by what we call field propulsion, a mode of propulsion that we ourselves have not fully developed yet."
Let's start by defining what field propulsion is. The earliest mention of field propulsion I found was a NASA report from 1979 titled "Field Resonance Propulsion Concept." The report covers where the observations that originated the concept, it's potential applications and the theory behind how it works.
The report says field propulsion is "based on proposed resonance between coherent, pulsed electromagnetic wave forms and gravitational wave forms (or space time metric)." It continues "the propulsion system utilizes recent research associated with magnetic field line merging, hydromagnetic wave effects, free electron lasers, laser generation of megagauss fields and special structure and containment metals."
Translated to English, instead blasting heat out the back like combustion engines, field propulsion uses uses electromagnetic waves to manipulate gravity around the craft.
This report explicitly uses observations from UFO sightings to form the field propulsion concept. "UFOs may generate an artificial gravitational field or otherwise use properties of space time which we are not familiar with." There’s whole conversation about why this report was even created for NASA that can be had at a later date, but it's worth mentioning the author of the report was Alan Holt, another key scientist on the lightcraft team. Also Leik Myrabo, the lightcraft lead scientist wrote a paper on field propulsion. David Froning, the focus of this section also wrote an entire book on the topic.
Now that we know what field propulsion is, it makes Fronings following statement even less ambiguous. He says that the US, who in 1997 was the unrivaled tech super power in the world, hasn't not been able to fully develop field propulsion.
An expert on the topic who's worked the most advanced military tech is saying that field propulsion is what’s being seen in that UFO video. In the very same breath says the country with tech supremacy didn't make it so who does that leave?
Let's play devils advocate and say Froning was lying to protect classified projects, that's one weird way to do it. Because he goes on to say:
Froning Admits US Has Working Flying Saucers
"This country has built vehicles that are lenticular in shape just like that, they are driven by high performance gas turbine engine. That can fly around the sky just like this did. It looks like that, it wobbles like that, but it makes a lot of noise."
In another bombshell admission Froning claims the US has an operational flying saucer with a modified gas engine that can fly exactly what is seen on film the only difference is it much louder. The witness closest to the craft with the medical injuries described a hissing sound like a gas leak. "We have something just like that but it sounds different" would be the weakest cover story in the history of counter intelligence.
Also if this was a lie to protect classified US tech, the back story is bizarrely extensive. NASA had that 79 field propulsion report and a branch of scientific study just waiting for an event like this to be fired up? Scientists including Froning have spent decades researching field propulsion. He wrote an extensive book on the topic almost 20 years after this interview. All this just to back some throwaway cover story in an obscure interview for a series of events no one could have predicted?
Froning Books on UFO Propulsion
Froning has written extensively about UFOs and propulsion. In terms of books published, there are two. The first titled Faster Than Light: Warp Drive and Quantum Vacuum Power. This book was actually edited by Thomas Valone. Valone, an engineer, was a 20 year patent examiner at the US patent office were he did research and tests to evaluate applications for technology patents.
Valone became convinced that not only are the allegations of a crash retrieval program true, but also that the government is suppressing advanced technology that can change the world. Valone would then go to become a crucial witness for Steven Greers Disclosure Project.
Although that book is worth discussing on its own at another time, we're going to focus on Fronings book titles "Field Propulsion Physics and Intergalactic Travel." Flying saucers are used in illustration throughout the book. The most bizarre mention is in chapter 5. This section describes a very detailed breakdown of a patent Fronings co author Yashinari Minami filed in the UK related to field propulsion. Throughout the patent there are technical drawings of a flying saucer with surprising detail about how each part and component in the craft worked.

13 years later in 2008 a book titled Gravitational Manipulation of Domed Craft was published. A physicist worked together for 5 years with one most well known UFO abductee Betty Andreasson on recreating technical sketches of what Betty claims she saw on the outside and more important, how the beings explained everything inside the craft worked.
I'm not even going to attempt to provide a scientific synopsis of this extremely technical 600 page book "Gravitational Manipulation of Domed Craft." Essentially Potter had a similar understanding of the UFO propulsion that Froning and others had been research but the drawings were even more detailed than the 1995 patent.

Apparently even more scientists were interested in getting details from the Andreassons. Potter writes that Aerospace experts went to personally observe Betty's hypnotic regression sessions to intensely take note. Betty explicitly named John F Schuessler, a 36 year McDonnel Douglas/Boeing employee, as being one of the scientists asked to be kept updated with notes after each regression session.
Schuessler and Froning were working at the same defense contractor on the same programs at the time Schuessler was in touch with the Andreasson. In a conference presentation on UFO tech, Thomas Valone said "a friend of mine Paul Potter was kind enough to share his slides of his artistic rendition of the Andreasson ship." Valone then proceeds to show the exact diagrams that Froning included in his book.
I'm not sure if this was intentional or strange twist of fate, but somehow presented immediately before Potter slides, were slides given to him in person from David Froning with his analysis of the science behind UFOs.
We know Valone was also close with Froning. Valone edited his first book and wrote the forward. Why are these scientists in Fronings circle so intertwined with the Andreasson Affair? Clearly Froning found this extremely detailed account from someone who claimed to be taken on to a UFO credible and valuable to his work. 5 pages in the the book are dedicated to potters technical drawings and analysis of this alleged abduction.
Don’t Believe Your Lying Eyes
I published the first article in the Lightcraft series months ago. I posted a summary of it on the largest UFO subreddit in the world's r/UFOs. The comment section was flooded with alleged Physicists, engineers and experts in their field posting walls of text swearing up and down that the Lightcraft project had absolutely nothing to do with UFOs.
The top comment on the post with 82 up votes was from someone who allegedly worked with Myrabo on the 1998 Discovery Channel documentary where they recorded some tests at White Sands Missile range. He says
"The 'Lightcraft' research of Leik Myrabo has been discussed here before. It is not a UFO/UAP, nor has anything like this technology ever demonstrated capabilities even vaguely like observed, tracked and documented UAP."
In part 1, I made the connection between a Physicist from the Manhattan Project who had also been investigating UFOs and applying what he learned in his research. When I acknowledged the direct overlap in the plasma research Tuck did and the published plasma research of Lightcraft scientists like David Froning and Eric Davis I was met the most credentialed adversary you can imagine in that comment section.
Now a completely different account who also allegedly spoke to the researchers on this project, comes in with the second most upvoted comment on the post to assure everyone that the lightcraft project had nothing to do with UFOs.
While quoting a line in my post about how AARO which is the pentagon office that released a "Historical Review" which allegedly investigated the claims of witnesses testifying about a UFO reverse engineering program but erroneously has no mention of the lightcraft, reddit user said
"Because it has nothing whatsoever to do with this mythical connection to UFOs you've created and it's entire completely conventional history is well recorded."
Is it now "completely conventional" for Aerospace pioneers to be investigating UFOs for decades, including abduction stories, applying that to his technical research while also building a flying saucer for the Air Force and NASA? Boy I must be getting old.
Additionally this self professed subject matter expert allegedly wrote his Phd about the history of fusion power which coincidently covered much of James Tuck career. So he was also going to big foot his way into the conversation to explain science to us stupid people. In a series of back and forth comments with myself he must have posted around 2000 words based entirely on the factually incorrect claim that James Tucks plasma research was completely unrelated to the Lightcraft project.
Of course I had the adequate links to make the case in the article, but to further prove the point I found a paper published by Froning related to the Lightcraft on Inertial Electrostatic Confinement, an area of research James Tuck also published on.
In a truly bizarre experience most of the 87 comments on that post were from people repeating that this was uninteresting, had nothing to do with UFOs and that I'm an asshole for trying to "give credit to aliens" for hard work that was done by human scientists. All those comments from people who clearly didn't read the article and certainly didn't open the links. Since the article is hosted on my substack platform. I know for a fact they didn't even check the sources because I have access to analytics that count every time a link is opened in addition to them repeating points that were already addressed.
As someone analyzing all this information about UFOs and flying saucer projects rationally without jumping to conclusions, you and I are in the same boat. I'm doing my best to steel man what ever the opposing view here is, but there's only so much I have to work with.
The loudest critics of this series have decided to forgo any challenge of the source material I presented. Instead they resort to the increasingly delusional position that a project to build a flying saucer, inspired by UFOs, had nothing to do with UFOs. That, and condescendingly trying to gaslight me into believing that because I'm not an engineer; I'm incapable pointing out that 2 scientists in the same field, publishing research on the exact same topic referencing the same principles and terms might be related.
In the beginning of the article I explained the definition of reverse engineering. I haven't proven beyond a doubt that Leik Myrabo et al had access to a crashed UFO while researching the Lightcraft. But I have proven a considerable amount of the key scientists were drawing technical inspiration from UFOs.
We know the flying disc model was designed, among other things, for Interplanetary travel. In a chapter removed from the manual there's a section on the recovery of Unidentified Spacecraft. The additional context around all this is even more damning. Direct connections to scientists in the Manhattan project known to be researching UFOs. It's worth noting multiple whistleblowers and even congressional legislation trace the origins of the UFO program to the Manhattan project and the Atomic Energy Commission.
The pin that connects all this together is Eric Davis. The same Davis of the Wilson/Davis Memo. The same astrophysicist from the AAWSAP program and National Institute for Discovery Sciences. A key witness to whistleblower David Grusch, Eric Davis was part of the research team for the Lightcraft.
I'll end on Eric Davis quote from a UFO research conference where he was on stage with Kirk McConnell, a former senior senate staffer with 30 years of experience in the Armed Services and Intelligence Committee who's been present while witnesses including Davis have briefed sitting Senators. In summary of time at the Air Force Research Lab where he became involved with the Lightcraft project, Davis said
"I spent a lot of years supporting advanced breakthrough propulsion technology, some UFO research for the program manager there, as well following up with my work at NIDS, I carried over to my air force work investigating the shreds of evidence that there existed highly classified programs running reverse engineering and retrieval of craft of unknown origins, UFO craft.."

I am so glad you included your experience on Reddit in here. Because it is not just you. To preserve my sanity I stopped using it years ago after realizing that no matter what was posted I knew what the comments would be. If you are not aware google Kirkland Air Force base x Reddit most used city. I don’t know if the comments now are directly from Kirkland but it has 100% influenced people to become a drone army of “skeptics” even though a skeptic is not what they are. There is no evidence that would convince them to believe their lying eyes.
